SDCC news update
Hey everyone.  So we're getting a lot of news out of SDCC this week.  On thursday night they screened the pilots for Constantine and the Flash with some pretty decent feedback so far. I know the episodes leaked a few weeks back but I have yet to see them.  Are you guys excited to see the Flash and Constantine? I know I am.  We also got to see the first images of Roy as Arsenal on the Arrow show, now this is something I'm excited for.  I'm a huge fan of the show and I can't wait to see how the characters develop and the story progresses this season.  Another piece of news out of comic con was that some other comic books have been optioned for TV shows, among those optioned was five ghosts.  Five Ghosts is an amazing book that is put out by Image, and I highly recommend that you guys give it a read.  The art and story fit perfectly together, mix in some magic, monsters, pirates and awesomeness, and you've got five ghosts.  Lastly we got to see more pictures of Ben Affleck as batman, now I know a lot of people are still skeptical of him, but the costume is looking pretty good so far and I'm somewhat optimistic.  So we'll have to see how it turns out.

Comic Book Speculation, Is It Worth The Risk?

So right now in comics we live in the Speculation Age. As far as I'm concerned the Modern Age is over. Let's start by defining speculation. And I'll give a broad definition. At its core speculation is when you buy a book because you believe it will go up in value and you will be able to sell it later at a profit. Now that's a very broad explanation. By no means am I an expert. There are some very good sites out there that have very detailed articles and tons of great info. One of my favorites is CBSI, go check them out at  www.comicbookinvest.com They have some great people pumping out articles with tons of knowledge. And in this hobby knowledge is power. So I'm going to discus if speculation is worth the time and money. So there are different ways to speculate. eBay article part 2

First off I want to give a shout out to Trey K from CBSI for sharing my previous article. It garnered some decent attention and good discussion within the group. I also got some good questions from people so I thought I'd elaborate on a few things.  I just want to warn sellers of the risk of selling on eBay. And the huge pain it can be. The main question I got was how often does someone try to scam you? Honestly I would say about 1 in 10 sales. And the most common scam is people wanting a partial refund. They will say something like "hi the book arrived today but it's probably a 9.0 and not NM so can you refund me 25% and I'll just keep the book, I hope we can resolve this". All they are trying to do is get the book you sold them for a cheaper price. And how could they possibly know the grade if it's not slabbed.
