The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere Review WARNING SPOILERS
So I just watched the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead and it was intense. Very intense.
I liked the episode. It definitely sets the stage for the rest of the season. And I can't wait to see how it plays out.
Now I'm going to talk about what happened so,
WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD,
if you haven't watched the episode yet stop reading.
So we start right where last season left off, we don't find out right away which character gets killed off. Negan takes Rick off somewhere and just toys with him. He drives off with him in the RV and throws his axe out the door and makes him go get it just to mess with him. This is all after the death but we haven't seen it yet. He then brings Rick back to the group and it all comes full circle and Negan kills Abraham.
But.... Then Daryl punches Negan and he didn't like that and then they stayed true to the comics and he kills Glenn as well. In the same brutal fashion. It was hard to watch, it was that brutal.
He then toys with Rick some more and tells him he works for him now and calls Carl over. He sits Carl next to Rick and tells Rick in order to prove his loyalty he needs to cut off Carl's arm. And if he doesn't he will kill all Rick's people. Rick doesn't want to do it but Carl looks at him and says he has to, but Negan stops him. He wants to make sure Rick understands his role now and Rick does. Negan then tells Dwight to throw Daryl in the back of his van and Negan and his guys leave Rick and his people. Then Maggie gets up and tells Rick they need to regroup and get ready to fight Negan, but Rick looks defeated and nobody knows what to do.
It was a great episode and I'm really looking forward to this season.
I'd give this episode a 9/10
