Updates on some conventions I've been to and some upcoming ones

I haven't had time to write any posts lately, work and life has been wicked busy.  I've been to several conventions since the the last time I wrote something, quite a few actually. I went to Garden State Comic fest in New Jersey back in July.  I had heard great things about New jersey conventions and this one didn't disappoint. It was a small show but had a lot of comics for sale and I walked away with a lot of great deals.  I will definitely be attending again next year.  I went to a very small show in Fitchburg Massachusetts called Plastic City Comic Con.  It was a fun time, maybe 10 guys selling books but books were priced to sell and i did very well there.  I attended Boston Comic Con for the 4th straight year and it was different.  New much larger location.  It was a good show, not as god as last year but still fun.  I met some great artists and walked away with some incredible commissions. The weekend right after Boston was Terrificon at Mohegan Sun, definitely my favorite venue.  Had a great time there. There wasn't much to buy this year which was a stark difference from the previous year.  I tried but didn't find much but still had a lot of fun.

I'm actually trying to slow down as far as buying goes.  I really want to focus on Original Art and Golden Age books. I cant just buy tons of cheap books.  I'm also still waiting on a ton of slabs from CBCS, its been like 12 weeks and still dont have them back.  I guess moving forward i will have to fast pass everything.  i hate waiting, no patience for that.  I do have another 30 or so books ready to submit at an upcoming convention.

I still have quite a few conventions left for this year.  Te next one I'll be at is Granite State comic con in Manchester New Hampshire, thats in 2 weeks.  After that I'll be at Super Megafest in Marlboro Massachusetts, October 21-22, then weekend after I'll be in Portland Maine for a one day show.  Then the last big con of the year is Rhode Island comic con in Providence Rhode Island in November.  And finally ending the year off at South Coast comic con in Hanover Massachusetts in December.  When 2017 concludes I will have attended about 14 conventions.  I think that is the most I've ever done in a single year.

Let me know if you guys are going to any of these upcoming shows.
