East Coast Comic Con 2018 Review
Last weekend I attended the East Coast Comic Con. It was my first time attending this convention and I had a great time, possibly the most fun I've ever had at a show, largely due to all the great people I got to meet.
I was able to meet some friends from the YouTube and Instagram community. I need to give a shout out to the New York Warriors, I was able to meet some of them and they were all awesome guys. I also met Reapertate, who was also fun to talk too. I met Jimmy C, another cool dude. I also met d12comics and had a lot of fun hanging out with her. I also got to meet Tom Ryan and spend some time hunting for books with him. It was wicked fun meeting all of you and I hope we get to run into each other at another show soon.
I also met some great artists and was able to pick up some amazing artwork from them. First was Joe Linsner who I have met before but he's an awesome guy and did an incredible Scarlet Witch piece for me. The Next artists that I'm going to mention I have never met before. I met a wicked nice lady named Nikkol Jelenic, she had a really unique style and I had her do a Buffy piece for me which came out amazing. Next I met Tom Mandrake and of course had to have him do a Spectre sketch for me which was incredible. Next was Ben Harvey, another really nice guy, he also did a Buffy sketch for me. The only bad experience I had was with Larry Hama, he wasn't nice at all even after I paid him for a sketch. He didn't seem like he was interested in the fans at all.
I was able to get books signed by a lot of other amazing artists. Including Simon Bisley, Joe Jusko, Jose Louise Garcia Lopez, Joe Sinnott, Joe Giella, and several others.
I also met Timothy Zahn who wrote the Star Wars Thrawn novel, he was a great guy and I got to speak with him for a while.
Overall it was a really fun experience and I will definitely be there again next year. I give this show a 10/10. If you guys have never been you really need to check it out next year. If you want to see what I picked up check my IG page, you can follow me @evanleahy232
