Haven Season 5 premiere
Haven is finally back!!!
It's felt like I've been waiting forever for Haven to start up again.
Haven is definitely my favorite show on tv.
This was a great episode. It definitely didn't disappoint. For those of you that watched last season, this episode took place right after last years season finale.
I didn't start watching Haven during its first season, I actually started with the season 4 premiere last year. And the reason I watched it was because I heard that Colin Ferguson, who played sheriff Jack Carter on Eureka, which was one of my favorite shows, was going to be on season 4 of Haven.
So I watched the season 4 premiere and had no clue what was happening or what the show was about, but I was so intrigued by the episode I was instantly hooked. I spent the entire week following that episode watching the first 3 seasons on Netflix, and I was able to watch all those episodes before the second episode of season 4 started.
The very first episode from season one was even more interesting and I was a fan. Haven is truly an amazing show. I can honestly say that I've enjoyed every episode to date, there hasn't even been one episode that was only ok, I liked them all, and that's extremely rare for a show to be this good for so long.
Last season ended in one of the biggest cliffhangers I've ever seen for any show, and we had to wait quite a while before we got news that the show had been renewed. I was definitely nervous for a while but so excited when we got the news that the show was renewed not for 13 more episodes but for 26 more. And they will have a break in the middle after 13 episodes so it's almost like the show was renewed for 2 more season, which is great.
All the characters in the show have their own personality and are all great. But the core three member, Audrey, Duke, and. Nathan are awesome.
I'm not going to review each episode because I think after this one they will probably all be good. If you guys want me to write reviews let me know.
So I don't really want to give much away about the show because I think everyone should watch it but I will tell you a little about what the show is about.
The show centers around a small town in Maine called Haven. And Haven is afflicted by the troubles. The troubles are a sort of curse that people have. Not all the people of Haven have these troubles and not even everyone knows about them. Now each person that is afflicted by the troubles has their own specific trouble. However the troubles are passed down through families, some of them skip generations but some family member s may have the same trouble. Not all troubles are bad either, but some are really bad. So let me give you an example, one character on the show named Jordan has a trouble that whenever she touched someone they feel intense crippling pain. So it forces her to wear gloves all the time so her skin doesn't come in contact with another person.
So the first main character is Audrey, she is an FBI agent who comes to Haven to investigate and ends up finding more than she bargained for.
Then you have Nathan who is the police chief, he takes Audrey as his partner and they team up to investigate the troubles.
And then there's Duke, Duke is just Duke, he and Nathan have a complicated relationship.
Now each of those three characters has their own complex story and their own unique experience with the troubles. But I'm not going to elaborate because I don't want to give any spoilers. And those are just the main three. You have so many great supporting characters on the show as well.
So you guys should definitely give the show a try and let me know what you think!
