The strain episode 9 review 9/7/14
So last week was an awesome episode, let's see what we get this week.
So Eph's kid goes home and finds his mom's boyfriend has turned. Luckily Eph and the gang were stopping by his house and Eph goes in and saves his kid. I bet it felt good to kill his wife's boyfriend.
Back to Gus and his infected friend in the jail cell.
His friend isn't looking so good.
So Eph is looking for his wife.
So the gang is gearing up for battle, they are going to regroup at the pawn shop.
So the exterminator takes the hacker girl back to here apartment and she finds out that her friend actually made it back to her place and stole all her money and hard drives.
So the vampire hunter has a heart to heart with Eph's kid.
This episode is going back to the slow ways of the previous weeks.
Back to WWII, the nazi vampire and the vampire hunter have a quick conversation about nothing.
Some guy try's to attack the hacker chick in her apartment and the exterminator kills him. They rejoin the vampire hunter and Eph's kid and go back to the pawn shop.
So they are trying to figure out who might be involved in helping the vampires. Eph and Nora are disposing of the dead boyfriend's body.
So we are about half way into this episode and not much has happened so far. I wish they would do more vampire killing and less talking.
Eph and Nora burn the dead boyfriend's body.
The hacker girl tells the vampire hunter that it was her that was responsible for shutting down the internet. And she tells him that it was that old guy that hired her. And she tells him that the German was with the old guy.
Back to WWII, the vampire hunter sees the master feeding on more people in the camp, he tries to kill the Master, but that doesn't go so well, the Master breaks all his fingers and leaves him.
Now Gus and his friend are in a truck with other prisoners and his friend turns, he kills the guard that was driving and the truck crashes. I don't know if I said this before but I have a feeling that Gus will join the team soon.
Eph and Nora decide to have sex during the vampire apocalypse.
Gus has to kill his friend who turned then runs away.
Eph's kid is starting to get on my nerves. He asks to many questions.
Back to WWII again, the prisoners are being transported, the vampire hunter and others were going to be executed when the Allies showed up and some of them were able to escape.
And then some more talking happens. This episode has been disappointing considering his good last weeks was.
Eph shows up at the pawn shop, and his kid is asking more questions.
Back to WWII, we see the nazi go into this bunker type thing with the Master's coffin in it. We see the Master infect the nazi.
So this episode was ok. Definitely not as good as it was last week but it was good. Like I said before, I'd like to see more vampire action a d less talking and drama.
I'd give this episode a 7/10

eBay article part 2

First off I want to give a shout out to Trey K from CBSI for sharing my previous article. It garnered some decent attention and good discussion within the group. I also got some good questions from people so I thought I'd elaborate on a few things.  I just want to warn sellers of the risk of selling on eBay. And the huge pain it can be. The main question I got was how often does someone try to scam you? Honestly I would say about 1 in 10 sales. And the most common scam is people wanting a partial refund. They will say something like "hi the book arrived today but it's probably a 9.0 and not NM so can you refund me 25% and I'll just keep the book, I hope we can resolve this". All they are trying to do is get the book you sold them for a cheaper price. And how could they possibly know the grade if it's not slabbed. Collector, Speculator, Flipper... Can you be all of these? Sure why not?

Ok guys so it's Labor Day I'm bored and thought I'd right an article. So people tend to categorize others in sub sects of the collecting world. A friend of mine called me a flipper I said ok but I'm also a collector. He asked how can I be both? So let's first define each category. A collector is someone who collects comics, whether it be runs, keys, slabs, what have you, pretty self explanatory. A speculator, someone who buys a comic hoping the value will increase so they can sell it at a profit. A flipper, someone who buys a book for the sole purpose of selling it. Ok so now that's out of the way. I think we can be all three of those things. I don't know why "real collectors" look down on flippers and speculators. Now for me personally any money I make selling comics goes back into my collection. I don't do it as a business to support myself I do it to buy other things I won't for my collection.
