The strain episode 5 review 8/10/14
SPOILERS ahead if you haven't seen this episode. 
So this episode starts off with the assistant to the rocker guy that was infected getting him a doctor. She goes up to check on him and walks in on him eating her...this show is getting weird. So the vampire hunter guy and Eph are talking and making breakfast and talking...and that's about all they're doing right now. 
Ok so now we are flashing back to 1944 during WWII when the vampire hunter is a young man. He was transported to a concentration camp. 
Ok now we are back to present time to the lawyer woman's house who was infected. 
Ok now back to Eph and the vampire hunter, they are still talking...
And still talking...
The vampire hunter is recruiting Eph to his team. I guess he's going to hunt with him now. Ok so now Eph and the vampire hunting are talking and driving, there has been a lot of talking going on in this episode. 
So we find out that the infected always come back to infect their loved ones first. 
So we flash back to WWII, it looks like the Master used to feed on the people in the death camps. 
Ok so Eph and the vampire hunter guy go to the house of the guy that turned last week, they walk in and find the wife hanging. She killed herself because of what happened to her husband. Then they go outside because they hear a noise in the shed. So they open the shed to find the guy still chained up in there. Eph shoots him with silver nails from a nail gun and the vampire hunter guy chops his head off. He also finds the neighbor in there from last week and kills him to. 
Ok back to WWII, the Master continues to feed on the people in the camp. 
There was some pointless talking, and now back to the rocker guy's place. His assistant or manager sent some guy to clean up the mess from him killing that doctor. So the rocker attacks the guy, the guy shoots him, then the rocker kills him. 
Ok so the exterminator guy goes into the sewer and finds a ton of vampires down there, they were the people on the plane. So Nora had been visiting her mother at this old folks home, she was going to bring her mother back to her room, but there was a vampire attacking someone. So one of his family members must have been in the home, because they seek out their loved ones first. 
So Eph is trying to explain to the head CDC guy how bad this disease is. So I guess the CDC guy thinks Eph murdered the pilot because Jim told him they had video of him dragging the body in the basement. Jim helps Eph get out of the building but now the police are after Eph. 
Ok so overall this episode was quite weird, slow and somewhat boring. There was a lot of talking parts that didn't need to happen, we did get so see a little into the vampire hunter's past, but not much. This was a week episode but the previews fro next week looked good. 
I'd give this episode a 5.5/10

eBay article part 2

First off I want to give a shout out to Trey K from CBSI for sharing my previous article. It garnered some decent attention and good discussion within the group. I also got some good questions from people so I thought I'd elaborate on a few things.  I just want to warn sellers of the risk of selling on eBay. And the huge pain it can be. The main question I got was how often does someone try to scam you? Honestly I would say about 1 in 10 sales. And the most common scam is people wanting a partial refund. They will say something like "hi the book arrived today but it's probably a 9.0 and not NM so can you refund me 25% and I'll just keep the book, I hope we can resolve this". All they are trying to do is get the book you sold them for a cheaper price. And how could they possibly know the grade if it's not slabbed. Collector, Speculator, Flipper... Can you be all of these? Sure why not?

Ok guys so it's Labor Day I'm bored and thought I'd right an article. So people tend to categorize others in sub sects of the collecting world. A friend of mine called me a flipper I said ok but I'm also a collector. He asked how can I be both? So let's first define each category. A collector is someone who collects comics, whether it be runs, keys, slabs, what have you, pretty self explanatory. A speculator, someone who buys a comic hoping the value will increase so they can sell it at a profit. A flipper, someone who buys a book for the sole purpose of selling it. Ok so now that's out of the way. I think we can be all three of those things. I don't know why "real collectors" look down on flippers and speculators. Now for me personally any money I make selling comics goes back into my collection. I don't do it as a business to support myself I do it to buy other things I won't for my collection.
