The strain episode 7 review 8/24/14
SPOILERS ahead.
So this episode begins with the husband of the lawyer woman who was infected being attacked in a cab as he's being driven home, then he gets inside and sees that his wife has turned. And she kills him.
Now back to Eph, Nora, and the vampire hunter....and more talking.
So the vampire hunter is explaining to Eph that if you kill the Master all the vampires will die. That's pretty convenient.
We are flashing back to WWII again, the nazi vampire goes into the camp and starts killing people, he found a Jewish carving and wanted to know who made it, turns out it was the vampire hunter that made it and the nazi vampire asks him to work on a special project, which turns out to be the Masters coffin.
So Eph goes to see Jim, Jim explains to his wife that he's the one that is responsible for this disease getting out. She really isn't believing him.
So it turns out that the nazi vampire was a nazi during WWII but not a vampire.
So the old guy and the nazi vampire are talking.
So Gus is in jail, his friend is also in the cell with him and about 10 others, and his friend is infected, the last place you want to be with someone turning into a vampire is locked up in a small cell with them.
So Jim is still annoying.
Back to WWII, the nazi comes in drunk as the vampire hunter is working on the coffin, they are talking and talking and talking....and talking.
I'm trying to get excited by this show, I really am but it's hard when some parts are so boring. There is so much down time, it really slows the story down. I like vampires and I like non traditional ones like these but it's getting harder and harder to want to watch the next episode.
So these people that take care of the lawyer lady's kids go to drop them off, they get attacked by the lawyer and one of them gets infected. They hide themselves in a room.
So Jim goes to meet the nazi vampire, so Eph and Nora try to track the nazi vampire, hoping that he would lead them to the Master, but they lose him.
So the vampire hunter is also tracking the nazi vampire, he finds him, they fight and the vampire was about to kill the vampire hunter, but Eph shoots him and he leaves.
Back to the people at the lawyers house, they are about to get eaten when some guy shoots the vampires with a crossbow or a shotgun or something. It appears that they are vampires who hunt vampires.
So this episode was honestly pretty boring. The only cool part was the last couple minutes.
I'd give this episode a 6/10

eBay article part 2

First off I want to give a shout out to Trey K from CBSI for sharing my previous article. It garnered some decent attention and good discussion within the group. I also got some good questions from people so I thought I'd elaborate on a few things.  I just want to warn sellers of the risk of selling on eBay. And the huge pain it can be. The main question I got was how often does someone try to scam you? Honestly I would say about 1 in 10 sales. And the most common scam is people wanting a partial refund. They will say something like "hi the book arrived today but it's probably a 9.0 and not NM so can you refund me 25% and I'll just keep the book, I hope we can resolve this". All they are trying to do is get the book you sold them for a cheaper price. And how could they possibly know the grade if it's not slabbed. Collector, Speculator, Flipper... Can you be all of these? Sure why not?

Ok guys so it's Labor Day I'm bored and thought I'd right an article. So people tend to categorize others in sub sects of the collecting world. A friend of mine called me a flipper I said ok but I'm also a collector. He asked how can I be both? So let's first define each category. A collector is someone who collects comics, whether it be runs, keys, slabs, what have you, pretty self explanatory. A speculator, someone who buys a comic hoping the value will increase so they can sell it at a profit. A flipper, someone who buys a book for the sole purpose of selling it. Ok so now that's out of the way. I think we can be all three of those things. I don't know why "real collectors" look down on flippers and speculators. Now for me personally any money I make selling comics goes back into my collection. I don't do it as a business to support myself I do it to buy other things I won't for my collection.
